David Wastie Memorial Award

Annual David Wastie Memorial Award Nomination (to be presented March 2020)

To be awarded to an individual who supports others and frequently works behind the scenes, in quiet ways, to make significant, sustained contributions to the field of gifted education/support in NSW (professionally or in a volunteer capacity). Contributions may be through research, advocacy, service provision, or program development and implementation, and should be demonstrated over time and in a broad sense. Awardees do not have to be the leader in their field, indeed the spirit of the award is the “quiet achiever”. The closing date for nominations is the 1st of March 2020, a panel will review the submissions and shortlisted nominees will be notified one month before the award presentation night.
  • Please take time to give specific examples of why the nominee would be a worthy recipient, in accordance with the description outlined above.
